Hamilton County Republican Party

Letter from Chairman Alex M. Triantafilou

Discuss issues with Chairman Triantafilou on the Chairman's blog:   http://hcrp.blogspot.com/

On behalf of the Hamilton                            County Republican Party, thank you for visiting our web site.  Our site is designed to provide you with the most up-to-date information on the Republican Party and Hamilton County.  We hope you find this site to be a valuable resource to your involvement in the political process.
I am pleased and honored to have received the support of our Central Committee to be your new Chairman.  I look forward to the great challenges that lay ahead and to elect candidates who share the core vision of our Party.

We have just concluded a primary election where we challenged each other as Republicans.  Through these divisions, I can see the things that unite us.  Our debates during this primary election were about who protected our tax dollars more, who supported our troops the best, and who cut spending the most.  Our core principles as a party are lower taxes, smaller and less wasteful government, and a strong national defense.   While we debated these issues, the Democrats argue over who will surrender our position in Iraq the fastest, who can grow government the largest, and who will grow a huge new health care bureaucracy masked as “universal coverage.”

On the local level, we once again can expect this county and this region to be ground zero for the presidential contest.  Turning out Republican voters in this county will be a core focus of my first year as your chairman.  Using the skills and experience we learned in 2004, I hope that we can duplicate that massive get-out-the-vote effort to help Senator McCain, but to also help all of our candidates running in this county.

We have several important races in our county.  Our two local Congressional candidates, Steve Chabot and Jean Schmidt both will receive vigorous opposition.  Greg Hartmann, running for county commissioner, will also be opposed by an independent opponent.  Patti Clancy will be opposed in her quest to be our Clerk of Courts.  Rebecca Groppe and Rob Goering both have opposition.  Judge Fred Nelson and Commissioner DeWine both face opposition in their judicial races.  A massive and organized get-out-the-vote effort will help every candidate from the White House to the Courthouse.

Please take time to visit our Action Center to learn how you can be involved in our Party and help to promote Republican ideas and candidates.  Sign up to receive regular email updates from us and find out about upcoming events by viewing our event calendar.  Our Elected Officials section will connect you with local, state, and national Republican officials; and our Issues page will keep you informed of candidates, upcoming elections, and important community issues.  Lastly, below is a recent update about the new programs that Republican Headquarters has established.

I'm counting on your support this year to help elect outstanding Republican candidates and incumbents to important offices, and I hope you find this web site to be a valuable tool to keep you informed of the ongoing activities and volunteer opportunities of the Republican Party in Hamilton County.

Alex M. Triantafilou, Esq.
Chairman
